At our annual meeting for all current members, the Board of the Friends of the Wake Forest Library voted to suspend the organization. This action was not taken lightly. Due to a lack of volunteers to fill open positions on the Board as well as a large decline in membership, the Board felt suspension was the best decision. The annual book sale was cancelled earlier in the year due to these same issues. A Caretaker Board has been established to oversee the distribution of funds until all assets have been disbursed to the Wake Forest Library. Funds dispersed will continue to assist the library with ongoing activities as well as potential needs during the upcoming expansion of the branch. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or concerns and thank you for your support over the past 10 years.
